Jean Luc Sable

Voted Best Craftsman of France, Expert in Versailles Court of Appeal, Jean will host the 2010 Salon, The International Society of Decorative Painters, in Versailles.

faux expo Jean has been a freelance Decorative Artist since 1986 and has carried out many commissions to satisfy the various requirements of private, commercial, theatrical or event-based decoration. He graduated from the Van Der Kelen school in Bruxelles and the French government presented him the "Best Craftsman of France" award in the year 2000.

He is the founder and owner of the SABLE SCHOOL in VERSAILLES. Since 1990, more than 1000 students have been taught by him in all the disciplines of decorative finishes, and some of them collaborate with him today.

The 17th and 18th century French styles are "the source" of his inspiration. The extraordinary and historical environment of Versailles allows the students to learn in the sanctuary of French decorative arts. 30 years experience of private residential commissions have allowed Jean to develop a particular teaching method of decorative painting.

He is the author of "DeÉcors-peints et trompe l'oeil" (Eyrolles editions). A art and pedagogical book. The last chapter is dedicated to a more modern conception of the decorative paintings. Jean has also been appointed as "Expert" at the Versailles Court of Appeal, and operate closely with magistrates and lawyers in the field of artistic and decorative finishes.

Permanent member of the "SALON"- International Gathering of Decorative Artists - he hosted the 15th anniversary, in Versailles April, 8th, 2010.
