Bonnie Lecat began her art education at age 8 and was painting still lifes and portraits in oil by the time she was 10. Her interests and talents led her to a study of fine art, illustration, and design at Columbia College in Chicago, Il. Her professional experience includes mural painting and faux finishes, portraiture, fine art, commercial art, art direction and graphic design.

She began her professional career as an art director and commercial artist working at various advertising and marketing agencies while always painting as a hobby. When friends, family and work associates started requesting murals and paintings, she decided to leave the commercial art world and fulfill her passion for creating fine art. Her work now graces the walls of private homes and commercial establishments all over Chicagoland.
